Donations/grants  

- JPMorgan Chase has awarded a $20,000 grant to the Communities in Schools of Jacksonville. The grant will support its AmeriCorps literacy tutoring program.  

Honors/awards  

- Bob and Carol Grimes Environment Foundation Inc. presented its 2008 Environmental Activist Award to Natasha Chapman. Chapman is the organizer of Sustainable Jacksonville. The award was presented at the annual award luncheon of the Civic Roundtable.  

- Carolyn McClanahan, founder of Life Planning Partners Inc., was recognized as a top "Mover and Shaker 2009" by trade magazine Financial Planning Magazine.  

- David Josserand with the Dalton Agency was named to lead the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. This marks the second national appointment for Josserand, who also serves as national chairman for the American Heart Association.  

- ERA Davis & Linn has named its top producers for December: Andrew Linn, top producer; Cheryl Horace, top agent/top sales; and Clara Watkins, top lister.  

- HabiJax has won the Regional Award for Excellence in Affordable Housing during the 2008 Northeast Florida Elected Officials Reception & Regional Leadership Awards ceremony. The regional awards honors innovation in affordable home ownership and affordable housing options.  

- Haven Hospice has appointed Fran Pepis to its board of directors. Pepis is senior vice president of Colliers Dickinson.  

- IMPACTjax has announced its 2009 leadership team, which includes the following: Kristen Nimnicht, Steve Kowkabany, Erik Dellenback, Suzie Hutto, Stephanie Holmes, Ben Parker and Raychel George.  

- Jamie Sandifer was installed as chair for the Northeast Florida Builders Association Nassau Builders Council.  

Leases/negotiations  

- Mary Farwell, with Noteworthy Investments and Management and representing the seller, has completed the sale of property at 9000 Regency Square Blvd. Ralph Colbert with NAI H.S. Turner represented the buyer, MaxPepper LLC. The sales price was not disclosed.  

Mergers/acquisitions  

- Law firm Boyd & Jenerette has merged with Cole, Stone, Stoudemire & Morgan. The name will still be Boyd & Jenerette.
